- Proud to be a mighty Roughneck, I grew up in a city about an hour south of Houston called West Columbia. W.C. is a quiet, historical town (pop. 4500) most famous for being the first capital of the state, where it retained that title in 1836 for a full three months. I have one sister, four brothers, and a niece I spoil probably more than I should. My family is awesome and I attribute my likeness to them, especially my beloved grandpa who passed away a few years ago. I have wonderful friends ("mis compadres") all over the globe, most of whom I met in college. Forget credentials and other superficial descriptions of self, I'm just a country girl who enjoys laughing, singing, and blessing others.
